We renamed our annual conference to Access Lab to reflect the wider topics around discovery and access to content and the relationship between publishers, librarians and end-users in this space. Due to circumstances surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we hosted our conference online.
The conference attracted over 400 registrants comprised of international publishers and library professionals from a wide range of sectors including education and research, healthcare, government, charity, publishing, and commercial.
We wanted our international conference audience to feel inspired and enthused about the sessions they listen to during the day. A special thanks to all attendees and staff who embraced our last-minute change to digital delivery and contributed to the successful running of our event.
“You were a leader in putting the conference online at an early stage, and making it happen!” “Interesting talks – some speakers were really great such as Nick Poole and Sam Herbert. There was a good balance between professionals, customers and OpenAthens personnel” “Simply being able to attend. Although it’s dreadful that the in-person conference had to be canceled, moving the conference online allowed me to attend a conference I’ve wanted to attend for some time. Thank you.”
